Refund policy

Plans change.
So can your booking.

Firm but fair: protect a real cost when we've already committed it, never punish a customer for a change of plans they couldn't predict.

If you cancel or reschedule

How much notice you give us decides what happens.

  • More than 48 hours before delivery. Free reschedule, any date within 60 days, up to two reschedules per booking. Or, if you'd rather, a full refund minus the ~3% card processing fee.
  • 24 to 48 hours before delivery. Free reschedule. Or a 75% refund.
  • Less than 24 hours before delivery. Reschedule for a R250 fee (covers our driver's time and fuel — they're already on the route), or a 50% refund.
  • Day-of, while we're already on our way. Reschedules need a new payment in full. No refund — we've blocked the slot and committed a real cost.

If Schlep cancels

If we have to back out (vehicle breakdown, illness, route blocked, kit unavailable):

  • Full refund to your original payment method.
  • Plus a R100 sorry-credit on your next booking with us.
  • Donovan apologises personally by WhatsApp and email within an hour.

Founding-30 late-arrival guarantee

If you're one of our first thirty customers (booking with the code FOUND30), we promised a refund if we're late, and we mean it. If we arrive more than 30 minutes past the WhatsApp-confirmed ETA, you get a full refund — no questions asked. This applies even if you didn't cancel.

Mid-booking changes

  • Adding or changing crates. Free up to 24 hours before delivery; not possible after.
  • Changing delivery address. Free if you stay inside our service area; outside means cancel-and-rebook.
  • Keeping the kit longer than 7 days. R200 per extra week, paid before collection. Tell us before the original collection date.
  • Pushing collection by a day. Free if you tell us more than 24 hours before; R150 if less.

If you're not home for delivery

Our driver tries WhatsApp, calls, and waits 30 minutes from the WhatsApp-confirmed ETA. After that they have to move on to the next delivery. To reschedule from a no-show, the fee is R250 — we'd already committed the slot. Photo and timestamp will be on file.

How refunds work

  • Yoco refunds. Refunds go back to the card you paid with via Yoco — usually 3–5 working days.
  • Always to your original payment method — card to card via the gateway (3–5 business days), EFT to EFT.
  • The card processing fee (about 3%) isn't refundable.
  • Donovan processes refunds personally to keep things tidy. You'll get an email when it goes through.

Lost or damaged crates

Light cosmetic wear is on us — these are working crates and we expect a bit of life on them. Crates that don't come back, or come back with structural damage (cracked sides, broken hinges), are R380 each — that covers sourcing a replacement and the admin overhead.
